"One of the aims for Hartford Parish Council, following the publication of its Parish Plan, was to improve publicity about the village, its facilities and environment, and the Council’s activities. The development of a website would clearly be important in fulfilling this objective. So it was that we were very fortunate when Andy Dunn, of greensplash, arrived at a public meeting and offered us the services of his company in creating our site.
At the outset we were able to tell greensplash what we hoped our site would achieve. Andy freely gave of his time and advice, showing us the best way to design the site so that it was easy to navigate, contained all the relevant information and looked good. One of our particular aims was to be able to keep the site as up to date as possible, and the 'news' and 'what's on' facilities that allow Council members to quickly and easiliy post new items from their own homes have been a real success. Additionally other documents (including the Parish Plan, the Action Plan, and our monthly newsletter Hartford News) have been made available for download from the website.
We maintain a positive and friendly relationship with the staff at greensplash. On several occasions a Council member has contacted the greensplash office, and without exception staff have been friendly and welcoming, and dealt efficiently with whatever we have asked of them. We are confident that, in partnership with greensplash, the Council will be able to continue to develop the site."
